Welcome
Welcome to the first of many SafeTMed blog posts. We’ll try to bring you current, pertinent information regarding masks, sanitizer, and protecting yourself during the Covid-19 pandemic in a short easy-to-understand format.
SafeTMed is a Canadian company with Canadians in mind, so these posts will focus on the ever-evolving situation in Canada mainly, but will also contain news from other parts of the world; in this pandemic, we’re truly a global community.
You likely have encountered many new terms and concepts in the past months, and it’s our goal to bring clarity to this firehose of new information. As with many evolving domains, new information is always coming in, new research results are being made available and the state-of-the-art is a moving target. As new information is processed, guidance from health authorities like the US CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/) and US NIH (https://www.nih.gov/) and Health Canada (https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada.html) will change. Instead of seeing these changes as a source of frustration and a marker of indecision, we encourage you to see this changing guidance in the face of new data as deeply scientific. John Maynard Keynes reportedly captured this sentiment when he expressed to his detractors, “When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?”
Until next time, stay safe and mask up!
